Recently the XBMC developers posted a thread in Kodi forum for finalizing a codename for Kodi v19. Lot’s of suggestions and feedback has given by the Kodi users and finally, Kodi v19 got a codename.
In this post, I am going to talk about Kodi 19 codename, features, downloads, and installation process. The latest and stable version of Kodi is 18.2 (Leia) and this version has got lots of bug fixes and new features.
Kodi 19 will be known as “Kodi Matrix” and it is likely to be released between November 2019 to January 2020. However, no official announcement released yet about Kodi 19 release date and features.
But, we can expect the following features in Kodi 19.0 (Matrix)-

- Improved AirPlay Support.
- Improved 3D Video playback.

- Smart home integration with Amazon Alexa, and Google Home.
Kodi 19 Matrix Release Date
There is no official statement about the release date of Kodi v19 “Matrix”. But, it’s possible that you don’t need to wait longer for Kodi 19 release. Because we haven’t got a reliable update in v18 (Leia). Lot’s of bugs still available in Kodi 18.2 (Leia). So, it’s possible that Kodi 19.0 Matrix may release between November 2019 to January 2020.
Kodi 19 Download & Installation
There is no official release yet, but once Kodi 19 released, users can download the setup file for their devices. The Kodi 19 Download link for Windows, Mac, Android, Linux, Fire TV, Raspberry Pi, etc. will be available on the official download page of Kodi.
Follow these steps to install Kodi 19 (Matrix)-
- Go to the official download page of Kodi.
- Download the setup file.
- Go to download folder.
- Select the setup file.
- Begin the installation…
- Finish installation.
